A story rescued by Luís da Câmara Cascudo, which tells the story of João, a yellow boy who, when he stops in a cave to rest, is surprised by the face of the princess who was delighted. He then accepts the challenge of disenchanting her by going through difficult tests of courage and persistence. The piece is set in a huge box of images - slides and silhouettes are projected onto a white fabric. Scenery and puppets are inspired by woodcuts and the electronic-based soundtrack brings the Northeastern rhythm. Every detail has been sculpted to present the enchantment of this Brazilian tale through the magic of shadows.
